The purpose of the Home and School Association (HSA) is the advancement of Catholic education and the welfare of the children of this school. Membership is open to all parents and guardians of the students of Good Shepherd Catholic School and the faculty of the school. The HSA with the parents, teachers, and administration work to promote open communication, good will, and cooperation by providing an opportunity for parents and teachers to work together for the good of the children and to foster mutual respect and concern in a healthy, Christian-American Community.
The HSA is not-for-profit service organization striving to direct and coordinate parental education, and support Good Shepherd Catholic School through assistance activities, social functions and fund raisers.
The administrative body of this association is the executive board. The Board consists of a priest – representative of the parish, the association’s president, first vice-president, second vice-president, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, treasurer, homeroom parent coordinator, points-for-progress coordinator, a faculty representative, the school principal and the chairperson of any standing committee. The term of office is for one year, and no person shall be eligible to hold the same office for more than two (2) years. Board members are elected at a general meeting of the Association.
